Key Summit Track

The Key Summit Track is a day hike and is the first part of the Routeburn Track, one of the famous ‘Nine Great Walks’ of New Zealand.
The starting point is along the road from Te Anau to Milford Sound (SH 94) in the south west of the South Island.
It is an easy track, gently climbing up about 400m (1300ft) to the Key Summit, with stunning views over the surrounding mountains and valleys.
It is a round trip taking about 3 hours to complete.
