If you like to climb to the summit of a mountain, this hike in Nelson Lakes National Park is a good place to make a start. It goes up the appropriate named Pinchgut Track on to Mt Robert, from where you have beautiful views over Lake Rotoiti all the time. The track is narrow with quite a few huts and shelters along the way.The start of the track is cloae to the start of the Travers-Sabine Circuit. If you have time you could make a side trip along Robert Ridge to Lake Angelus.Then you make the return trip back down via Paddy’s Track. This circuit takes about 4 to 5 hours to complete.
